It was not after about six weeks (July 10) that the government came up with a dummy portal, www.iseya.ng/public.

The government has not make any statement why it abandoned its customised website for the exercise for an entire new host.

A month after, specifically, 13 August, 2019, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Kunle Somorin announced in a statement that the job portal promised by the governor will be formally launched on 15 of August, 2019.

“The job portal which was under review recorded over 5,000 candidates where a test-run was done last month for only two hours.”, Somorin explained.

Outcome of Nigeria Meter’s Investigation on Ogun Job Portal

When Nigeria Meter attempted to access the website, www.iseya.ng/public/, it was not responsive.

After we remove the “public” extension from the url, to access www.iseya.ng as homepage, we were redirected to https://iseya.com.ng/ with a message that “the website is being upgraded in view of the overwhelming traffic”.

Neither the statememt of the Chief Press Secretary to the governor nor the terse statement on the redirected website contains the date and time when the website will be fully functional.

It only directed visitors to supply their contact information in order to be alerted when the portal is ready.
