Ogun State Government has advertised its first job vacancies on the Ogun Job Portal asking job seekers to apply for different positions at her health facilities.
Nigeria Meter had reported that the first vacancy attempted to be filled by the Governor Dapo Abiodun administration was not routed through the Ogun State Job portal created to compile the data of employed people in the State.
The vacancies advertised by the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH) made the sum of Seven Thousand Five Hundred Naira (N7,500) as mandatory fee to be paid by applicants before their applications could be reviewed.
Meanwhile, the second job vacancies advertised by Governor Abiodun administration is now routed through the Job Portal unlike that of the OOUTH made through notice board and website of the teaching hospital (www.oouth.com).
The new vacancies advertised by the Ogun State Hospital Management Board asked qualified candidates to apply through https://jobs.ogunstate.gov.ng/company/ogun-state-hospitals-management-board-851.
The advertised positions include consultant, medical officers, specialist nurses, and assistant technical officer.
With this development, Governor Abiodun administration has retraced its steps by advertising job opportunities in the Ogun Civil Service on the job portal rather than other traditional means such as dedicated government’s notice boards and the Ministry’s websites.
Similarly, no fee was attached to the new vacancies unlike that of the OOUTH.
Nigeria Meter will continue to keep tab on the fulfilment of promises made by public officials as a way of promoting accountability, transparency and good governance.
